I have always had a obsession with the French Revolution. As I have grown older I realized that it was not some abstract story from a long ago time. it was simply the history of mankind. The thin veneer of polite society pulled back. The folly of man that is repeated over and over thruout our history.
I have warned my friends and colleges with a simple axiom. "Those who fail to recognize history are doomed to repeat it."
As long as men walk this earth there is danger. Your contemporary's of today can become the monsters of history, and none of us are beyond reproach. Tread lightly and never forget.
