"Love to live" is a nice little album for lovers of traditional folk harmony singing, especially if you like your cooing and ohhing coupled with a artfully studied aesthetic.
Eleni Mandell, Inara George (The Bird & The Bee) and Becky Stark (Lavender Diamond) are lovely in ever sense of the word. On this album The Sisters mine much of the same territory as there fellow Californians, She & Him and Jenny Lewis (with and without The Watson Twins). Coupled with a restrained rhythm section, tasteful guitar leads, and a three girl one mic approach, this makes for a perfect summer album.
My advice: listen to "Love to live" while relaxing in a field, under golden summer sunlight.
